BEST DIRECTOR
DEEPAK SAREEN(JAB PYAR KISISE HOTA HAI)
It was an unconventional film with a different approach.Its unconventional because Salman is playing a father for the 1st time. The treatment of the film was different.Even his son is not like the son in Massom, with tears in his eyes, but someone who has a mind of his own and knows how to stand up for his rights.
Yash Johar(KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI):
 I am elated that KKKH is such a massive hit. Strangers come up to me to say that they loved the film. I have seen people come out of the hall weeping. I never thought that my film would strike a chord in so many people. I am happy that the film industry has given me such a warm welcome. I only hope I can live up to thier expectations.
MAHESH BHATT(DUPLICATE):
It feels great to be nominated in both the popular and technical categories. I have put in the same amount of effort in DUPLICATE as my other films. I am thrilled that my peers have found my film good. It's a great feeling. But I am a bit amused too. It was a major challenge presenting two Shah Rukh Khans.
SOHAIL KHAN(Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya):
This time I made sure that I did not repeat the mistakes of my previous film. After Daraar, Arbaaz Khan seemed the best Choice to play the role of the possessive brother . Iwanted a good-looking chacha for Arbaaz and Kajol, not an ordinary kind of guy, so I choose Dharamji.
RAM GOPAL VARMA(SATYA):
After Rangella and DAUD, I wanted to make a more realistic film which captured life in the raw. And SATYA was outcome of that. I was always fascinated by MUMBAI'S underworld. In Satya I took a detached but concerned look mat that intriguing world into which many unwary youths stray.
